On January 1, 2025, Rhode Island’s minimum wage will increase to $15 per hour. The minimum base wage for tipped employees will remain at $3.89 per hour.
TCI Benefits Increase Reminder
Beginning January 1, 2025, employees will be eligible for up to seven weeks of Temporary Caregiver Insurance (TCI) benefits in a benefit year. TCI is run by the state but requires employers to provide job-protected leave and health benefit continuation during approved leave. For more information, check out the state’s TCI website.
