HR Compliance Update – California Releases Model Whistleblowers Notice

by | Jan 13, 2025

In July 2024, California amended its whistleblower protection law to allow employers the option of using a state-created model notice that lists employees’ rights and responsibilities. Using this notice ensures compliance with the law’s posting requirement. The state Labor Commissioner’s Office recently released the new notice.

Employers can continue to create and use their own notice for posting, but should ensure it meets the requirements of the law.
