The exempt salary requirement for Colorado employees has increased for 2023. If an exemption status has a salary requirement, for Colorado employees the salary requirement is $961.54 a week or $50,000 per year in 2023. This applies to all CO for-profit employers making over $1 million in total gross revenue per year and non-profit employers making $50 million in total gross revenue. If an employee in Colorado is not making at least $961.54 a week but is classified as exempt without overtime, they may be improperly classified.
