Two key changes to Nevada wage and hour law will take effect on July 1, 2023.

Minimum Wage
The hourly minimum wage in Nevada will increase to $10.25 for employers offering health benefits that meet certain criteria, and $11.25 for employers that do not offer sufficient benefits.

Final Pay Due Immediately During Temporary Layoff
Employees who are temporarily laid off—meaning they remain employed to hopefully be called back in the future—are entitled to all wages earned and due immediately, as if they had been terminated. This doesn’t apply to employees placed on suspension for discipline or investigation, employees who are on-call, or employees who are on a leave of absence
